Bald Eagle Lake

In Proximity to Flint and Detroit

Bald Eagle Lake is a private lake and community that offers a variety of outdoor recreation while being convenient to Flint and Detroit, Michigan. With Flint only 25 miles northwest of the lake, residents are only a half-hour from Hurley Medical Center, Bishop International Airport, and many other conveniences. Make approximately a 50-mile drive to Detroit for access to a wide variety of attractions in addition to the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

125 Acres of Water

Bald Eagle Lake is a calm and beautiful expanse, spanning 125 acres with a charming shoreline of maple, birch, beech, and pine trees. As one may guess, the lake is named after the eagles that nest at Bald Eagle Lake. There have been some years without eagles, but there is usually at least one nest at the lake. Residents enjoy photographing the eagles for documentation. Their nests are best visible in the winter.

Boating, Fishing, and Swimming

Over the years, Bald Eagle Lake has been traveled by a variety of watercraft, including canoes, wooden boats, motorboats, sailboats, pontoons, ski boats, powerboats, and more. It still sees a great variety today, with kayaks, pontoons, and ski boats being some of the most popular. Populations of bass, northern pike, walleye, sunfish, and perch keep anglers on their toes. For a more relaxing time, try swimming, sunning, or nature watching.

Something for Everyone

Downtown Flint features several unique restaurants where you can dine or enjoy a drink. Chevy Commons State Park and Riverbank Park are great places to view the Flint River. Mt Holly Ski & Snowboard Resort is less than 10 miles from Bald Eagle Lake. The park features a high-speed lift and several slope levels. In the summer, the park is an offroading location! Detroit Zoo, Belle Isle, Detroit Institute of Arts, Motown Museum, Michigan Science Center, and Guardian Building are great places to visit in the big city.
